Jana is a Lebanese-American actress, writer, drama-facilitator and recent MA Applied Theatre graduate of the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. After training at the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in Washington , D.C. and the British American Drama Academy in Oxford in 2002, Jana moved to New York City where she appeared in many plays, TV roles and independent films.
Jana is committed to creative projects that bring a positive awareness and understanding of the Arab culture through performance art, writing and film. Credits include: 'Live! With Pascale & Chantal' co-writer), 'Love in Las Vegas' (writer), 'The Arab, the Jew and the chicken' (co-writer). As co-founder of Conflict Relief: The Arab and Israeli Theatre Collaboration and Act for Awareness: a political street performance group, Jana is driven by a socio-political ethic that is reflected in her Theatre-In-Education work as a drama-facilitator. Ultimately, it is through the powerful and creative medium of drama that she believes a better acceptance of and understanding of our humanity is fulfilled and realized.
